Well ladies, it’s time. Waking up early for another long day of class is just around the corner, and we know you aren’t exactly excited for the stress of homework and deadlines for another year. However, we do know that your morning routine shouldn’t add to that stress.

Breaking news: it’s possible to keep your makeup routine in the morning quick and simple, while still looking put together and ready for the day. And it’s possible to do so with just 6 products. Yes, we’re serious.

Whether you’re running late or just want a simple and quick routine for when you go back to school, these are the products you need.

BB Cream

For a long day of class, a heavy full-coverage foundation isn’t exactly ideal. If you’re like me, it’ll be smudged off half way through the day. A BB cream is the perfect amount of coverage and skin-loving ingredients you need for a long day of class. Blend it in with a beauty sponge for lighter, more hydrated coverage, or blend it in with a buffing brush for a bit more coverage.

My favorite BB cream is the Rimmel Wake Me Up BB Cream Radiance Foundation, it’s cheap but wow it’s good. Especially when I’m tan from the summer, it adds the perfect amount of coverage without being too heavy and gross on my face all day.

Cream blush

For a quick wash of color that will last, cream blush is always your best option. Dab a little over the apples of your cheek and up to your cheekbones for a natural flush that will last all day. Try this Stila Convertible Color Dual Lip and Cheek Cream, it’s one of the good ones.

Setting powder

Before you move any further, you need to set the cream products you’ve already applied. A good setting powder won’t disturb the bb cream and blush you just applied. A cult favorite is the Laura Mercier Loose Setting Powder, and for good reason. Use a fluffy powder brush to sweep a bit of this powder all over for a flawless finish.

Bronzer

Another staple in my beauty routine is looking like I just left the beach, a.k.a. bronzer. Dust a bit over your forehead, cheeks, jawline and down your neck and you’re good to go. My absolute favorite is MAC’s Give Me Sun! bronzer because it has the most gorgeous warm undertone.

Mascara

If there’s one makeup product I can’t live without, it’s mascara. In my opinion, it opens up your eyes more than any other product can, and it gives me so much more confidence. And I have big news: I think I’ve found my holy grail mascara. The L’Oreal Paris Voluminous Lash Paradise Mascara is honestly one of the best mascaras I’ve ever used. With just ONE COAT you get a ton of volume, and with multiple coats? Crazy volume. Perfect for a hurried morning before class.

Lip balm

Top off this quick look with a bit of lip balm to keep your lips moisturized all day. Whether it’s tinted or clear, having something on your lips will keep them comfortable and pretty all day. Try this Hempz Herbal Ultra Moisturizing Lip Balm.
